[Chapter-delegates] Some Community Portal (AMS) Updates

Dear Colleagues,

As mentioned in last month’s chapter newsletter (the “A Look Ahead…” message), we have created a new Community Group called “Community Portal Updates” to share each month’s system release notes and and other system notifications with all of you. All current chapter leaders were added to this group some weeks back following a conversation with the Chapters Advisory Council Steering Committee. Let me highlight some of the points that have been shared on this group over the last week to ensure you’re all aware of these:

Communications:

  *   Ability to type customized subject lines: Chapter Communications Officers can now enter their own customized subject line when sending emails from the Chapter Leader Portal. While creating their email, they will now see "Free Text" as an option, which will allow them to enter their own subject line. See also the screenshot shared by Scott Manser in the Community Portal Updates Chatter Group.

Chapter Leader Portal:

  *   List of chapter officer roles: The chapter officer position report has been changed to show all positions regardless of whether multiple positions are held by the same individual (initially, this list didn’t show all officers roles if a person held more than one role).
  *   “Primary Contact” field removed: The "Primary Contact" field that was there when the new system went live, and that some of you had questions about over the last few weeks, has been removed as it is not needed for the chapters. The main contact for the chapter is the generic chapter e-mail address as shown on the backside of these tiles here<https://community.internetsociety.org/s/searchdirectory?id=a2FDn000000u5FY> (if you need an update on the e-mail address listed there for your chapter, please let us know at chapter-support at isoc.org<mailto:chapter-support at isoc.org>).
