[Chapter-delegates] DDCN Bootcamp Coimbatore

Dear Chapter Delegates,

ISOC India Chennai organized Fundamentals of Designing and Deploying
Computer Networks Bootcamp in Coimbatore from 12.8.24 to 16.8.24.

This course is for students with a basic understanding of computer hardware
and software, and who are already familiar with personal computers. It
begins with teaching the fundamentals of networking, Ethernet, as well as
Wi-Fi technologies. From the fundamentals, the course moves into the
planning, design, and deployment of simple LANs and covers the most common
ways to connect a LAN to the Internet (Mobile Internet, ADSL, Fiber) and
how to set up the connections. In addition, the course will present the
most common maintenance issues as well as how to solve those issues. The
course will have theoretical and practical components.

This 6 months skill based programme from June to November includes an
online component, face-to-face bootcamp followed by 3 months internship and
graduation.  With a total batch size of 25 students this event received an
overwhelming response and on successful completion of the bootcamp an
internship mapping is done.

The ISOC India Chennai Chapter is also very happy that on the last day of
our bootcamp in Coimbatore, we were able to connect the trainees to JIO,
one of the leading Internet Service Providers from the Ambani Group in
India and Southern Railways India for their Rail Network support.

Being the overall co-ordinator for the Hyderabad and Coimbatore bootcamp, I
congratulate the co-ordinators Mr.Mohan from Hyderabad and  Mrs.Pravina
Bharath for Coimbatore.   I also congratulate the tutors of the programme
for their support and the Internet Society Foundation Team for hosting this
event in India.
