Rehman's involvement in the Chapter Formation are particularly =
heartening ...
Naveed is a former ISOC IGF Ambassador (Sharm el Sheikh, 2009) and an =
Alumnus of the ISOC NGL Programme - he was also in attendance as the =
recent Global INET on the NGL track.
Madeeha is also a former ISOC IGF Ambassador (Nairobi, 2011) and an =
Alumnus of the ISOC NGL Programme - she also attended the Global INET =
via the NGL programme.
More than anything else, this sends a really positive signal regarding =
the ongoing success of the NGL Programme in igniting new Chapter =
formation as well as rejuvenating dormant Chapters.

The purpose of ISOC Pakistan Islamabad Chapter will be to serve the =

Our efforts will be to outreach various segments of the community =
especially during our first year to establishment to create necessary =
awareness about Internet Society and invite members to join the Chapter. =
We would be seeking necessary assistance from the available chapter =
materials from ISOC Global. Moreover, our primary purpose will be to =
engage youth in the process and provide them strength and confidence =
towards chapter goals and activities. We are quite fortunate to already =
capture attention of more than 75 volunteers during our chapter =
establishment efforts over the past 10 months. We would carry out a =
monthly chapter meeting on regular basis as we look forward to invite =
members from multi-stakeholders groups.

I. Additional information
ISOC Pakistan Islamabad Chapter (In-formation) is a result of =
rejuvenation of ISOC Pakistan Chapter. The rejuvenation process which =
had been carried out as a result of community members participation has =
resulted in establishing city/provincial based chapters in Pakistan. The =
community at Islamabad has carried out a number of meetings / =
discussions over the past 10 months as a result of which the community =
has been able to finalize the initial chapter applications. We look =
forward to play our contributions to overall core principles and goals =
of Internet Society as a vibrant, open and inclusive chapter.
