[Chapter-delegates] BoT election voting deadline is today

As hopefully all Chapter voting delegates know, the deadline for voting for
the Board of Trustees is 15:00 UTC today Friday.

For those who have not voted, or who might want to rethink their vote, I
would just like to provide my personal last-minute endorsement of *Dr
Muhammad Shabbir*.

While Dr Shabbir has long experience of chapter affairs as a member of the
Pakistan Islamabad Chapter, it is his tireless work as an accessibility
advocate, not only within ISOC, but in all Internet Governance fora, that
uniquely qualifies him as a Trustee,

In the two brief years that he has already served as Trustee, he has
already moved the needle remarkably, culminating in a unanimous board vote
for the new Policy on Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities
<https://www.a11ysig.org/isoc-a11y/> on April 2.

However, in life, it's all about the follow up. Policy is nothing unless
it.s directives are put into action. There needs to be vigilance, and
encouragement.

*So, we need Shabbir back on the board.*

Another important thing. Engagement. Last year many of you will have taken
part in the outreach calls with Shabbir, Charles Mok,and Sagarika
Wickramasekara. We need trustees who listen!

As I say, 15:00 UTC is the deadline! If you are not the voting delegate for
your Chapter, maybe just check in with them to see if they are doing the
right thing!
