[Chapter-delegates] 2022 ISOC Board of Trustees Elections Results

:Dear Chapter Leaders,
On behalf of the Internet Society Elections Committee, I wish to extend my
appreciation and thanks to all of the candidates for the Board of Trustees
elections. We are honored that so many qualified individuals offered to
serve on the Board. Voting closed on Friday and the election results were
certified today, in accordance with the elections timetable.
CHAPTERS
In the Chapters election there were three (3) candidates for one (1) seat.
Having received the most votes, Charles Mok has been elected to a 3-year
term as trustee.
ORGANIZATION MEMBERS
In the Organization Members election there were five (5) candidates for two
(2) seats.
Having received the highest weighted vote counts, Sagarika Wickramasekera
and Barry Leiba have been elected to 3-year terms as trustees.
Voter turn-out in the Chapters election was 76%. Of the 125 eligible
chapters, 95 voted.
Voter turn-out in the Organization Members election was 72%. Of the 86
eligible Organization Members, 62 voted.
Please join me in congratulating the successful candidates and thanking all
who ran. I also wish to thank all voters, members of the Elections
Committee, and ISOC staff who supported the elections process.
Election challenges may be lodged between now and 15:00 UTC on April 18 by
email to the President of the Internet Society, Andrew Sullivan at the
address election-challenge at isoc.org. Any such challenges must include an
explanation of the reasons for the challenge. The President, after
consultation with the chairs of the Nominations and Elections Committees
and the members of the Board of Trustees, shall advise the challenge author
of the Board's decision by April 25.
Again, thanks to all who participated in the 2022 Board of Trustees
elections.
