Subject: [Chapter-delegates] Announcement of the 2022 Chapters Advisory Council Steering Committee election results
Dear Colleagues,
The polls for the 2022 Chapters AC Steering Committee elections closed on 24 November. There were 9 positions to fill, one for each region and 3 non geographical positions.
The first person of each region with the most votes is identified as the 'regional representative'. The 'non geographical representatives' are the 3 delegates with the most votes following the regional attribution. This is to ensure diversity on the Steering Committee.
It is therefore my pleasure to announce the elected Chapters AC Steering Committee 2022 representatives:
* Pierre-Jean Darres (Canada Québec Chapter) - Regional representative North America
* Frederic Taes (Belgium Chapter) - Regional representative Europe
* Jordi Domingo-Pascual (Spain Catalonia Chapter) - Non-geographical representative
* Niran Beharry (Trinidad & Tobago Chapter) - Regional representative LAC
* Agang K. Ditlhogo (Botswana Chapter) - Regional representative Africa
* Heba Sayed (Egypt Chapter) - Non-geographical representative
* Adebunmi Akinbo (Nigeria Chapter) - Non-geographical representative
* K Mohan Raidu (India Hyderabad Chapter) - Regional representative APAC
* Zahir Qasrawi (Palestine Chapter) - Regional representative Middle East
Congratulations to the incoming 2022 Steering Committee!
At the same time, I’d like to thank the outgoing 2021 Steering Committee members who volunteered their time and energy over the last year to lead the work of the Chapters Advisory Council on behalf of all the Chapters!
I also want to use this opportunity to thank John More who, as Nominations and Elections Chair, ensured a smooth election process.
In terms of the next steps: A challenge period is now open until 5 December. If there is no challenge to the results, these will be official as of 6 December.
Thank you all very much for your commitment and congratulations again!
Best,
Christine
