[Chapter-delegates] Unfortunately, the Internet Impact Toolkit is unsound

+1.

Diversity should be given priority if we want ISOC to be truly inclusive.
For example, there seems to be no representation from Asia Pacific a huge
and diverse region in terms of geography, culture, economies and
development.

Thanks for the URL, Gonzalo.
An interesting observation - out of the four non-US Trustees, 3 are elected
by the chapters (the fourth one is actually you;).
This is a sign that the chapters are not only vital part of ISOC, but also a
part, which pays attention to diversity - not only in geography, but also in
culture, views, ideas, etc.
Perhaps people, who are critical of the chapters, could look at the numbers
and think again if their criticism is not misguided:-)

Hi,

for the record, we wrote the following blog post back in July about building

9 of 13 of our Board are from the U.S., as are many of our senior staff. To

protect U.S. giant companies.

FWIW, although I'm from the U.S. I don't consider myself to be a defender of
"U.S. giant companies." Most of my writings over the last several years have
articulated criticisms of those companies, whose flaws I know best. (You'll
find very little from me that's critical of, say, Alibaba or Tencent, two
companies I've hardly studied at all. For the record, I favor small
companies that as market entrants (take Zoom, for example) manage to compete
strongly against the incumbents--because it's not just great for them but
also good for the incumbents when there's competition.)
