Dear Chapter Delegates,
The ISOC Elections Committee sent reminders yesterday to all voting
delegates who have not yet cast ballots in the 2020 Internet Society Board
of Trustees election. This prompted me to check on the total votes received
so far.
Until now only 30% of the eligible chapters (37/124) have voted as of 25
March.
There are a few more days to the Friday, 3 April 2020 at 15h00 UTC deadline
for voting so my message to you is to take a pause and reach to your
Chapter voting delegate and ask him or her to cast a vote on the choices
this election presents. It takes less than a minute to vote. If you do not
know who the voting delegate for your Chapter is, do not hesitate to
contact Stine Philipsen, who is the ISOC Chapters and Individual Members
Coordinator (philipsen at isoc.org). She will be more than happy to help.
Voting is one of the few governance mechanisms that the Chapter Community
has in its hands to make sure that a balanced Community perspective is
present at the BoT. Engage and use it!
Stay safe.
