Definitely, regardless of whether the transaction completes or does
not complete, diversity of income for the Internet Society is
desirable.  It does not follow that the sale of PIR would be a
principal means to that desideratum, should the current transaction
not proceed for some reason.  I can think of several conditions under
which it would not even be practical.
