[Chapter-delegates] Heads-up on some improvements to the Chapter Portal (AMS) - 30 July release

Dear Colleagues,

This is a heads-up that you will see some changes to the Chapter Portal (AMS) as of tomorrow, 30 July, when our vendor is deploying a new release of the system.

The changes will address some requests that we received from Chapters over time, and will also make some of the labels more self-explanatory.

This is the first step in a series of adjustments that will be rolled-out over the next few months.

Here a quick summary of where you’ll see the changes after 30 July:

1) Bulk selections of member records will now be possible, also if the list that is being viewed is spread over several pages

2) An improvement will be made to the ‘Select All’ checkbox. There will be a drop down you can select to either choose ‘Current page’ to select the current page of members or ‘Select all records’ to select all of the members on each page. The number of records selected will display.

3) Some labels on the subscription pages have new names, such as: The function “Extend” will now be called “Extend (Current Term)” and the function “Reactivate” will be called “Reactivate (Undo Cancellation)”.

4) Bulk actions will require additional ‘Heavy Confirmation’. The required action will have to be confirmed by the person requesting the bulk action to avoid accidental "bulk terminations" of members.

5) There will be a new "Page by Page” functionality when navigating lists. It will be much easier to navigate from one page to another. In the past, the only choices available were "Previous" and "Next".

As you probably remember, we’ve also had a series of calls with those of you interested earlier this year to compile a list of Chapter Portal (AMS) challenges that we have then worked on over the last few months. We have a check-in call with those who were interested in being part of a “MemberNova working group" later this week. Please watch out for further announcements over the coming weeks and months as we continue to work through the list that was compiled with your help.
