Thank you for this.

As you say below, "it remains important that the opinions we all form around
this deal are based on an accurate view of the facts."

Given what you refer to as "time sensitivities, confidentiality, and complex
legal requirements" most of us don't have access to key facts that would
permit us to understand why the Board considered this deal to be a good
idea.

However, the time sensitivities and the confidentiality will presumably be
less of an issue in light of the letter from the California Attorney General
(in their role as supervisory authority for non-profit organization) to
ICANN, in which they request a great deal of information(apparently with
subpoena powers) regarding Ethos and the proposed transaction and that ICANN
defer a decision until 20 April 2020.

So, by then, perhaps we will all have access to relevant facts.
