Dear Colleagues,
The year is slowly but surely drawing to a close and we hope this finds you all in good health.
We are very impressed by everything you and your Chapters accomplished throughout this very difficult year despite the various challenges faced across the regions. A big thank you for your continuous support of the Internet Society’s vision and mission! You play a big part in the impact we achieve globally.
We’d also like to let you know that the end of the year Chapter Performance evaluation results are now final. The evaluation status as well as the badges are now reflected in the Chapter Portal (AMS).
Out of the 122 Chapters and 10 Special Interest Groups, 114 Chapters and 7 SIGs are marked as "in good standing” following the evaluations.
This is a big increase compared to last year, when 89 Chapters/SIGs were marked as in good standing. Congratulations!!!
113 Chapters and 7 SIGs also obtained a badge:
- 84 Chapters (and 2 SIGs) reached a Gigabit Badge
- 19 Chapters (and and 5 SIGs) reached a Megabit Badge
- 7 Chapters reached a Kilobit Badge
- 3 Chapters reached a Bit Badge
Congratulations to all the Chapters & SIGs who earned a badge!!!
These badges are now valid for one year and we will shortly also share visual badges that your Chapter/SIG is then free to use in your communications.
Note: only Chapters marked as "in good standing" under Part 1 of the evaluations were eligible for a badge.
You can find your Chapter/SIG results in the Chapter Portal (AMS)<https://admin.internetsociety.org/622619/User/Login> > "My Chapters and Special Interest Groups (SIG)” > "My Chapter Profile” > "Evaluations” tab > "Chapter/SIG Evaluations History", look for the “December 2020" round & click on "View"
If your Chapter is marked as "in pre-rejuvenation", this means that it didn't meet at least one of the 7 basic criteria for a Chapter to be considered as "in good standing". Chapters/SIGs in "pre-rejuvenation" now have 3 months (i.e. until 30 March 2021) to regain an "in good standing" status (see also the rejuvenation process outlined here<https://www.internetsociety.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/ISOC_-Chapter_rejuvenation_process.pdf>). Please reach out to the Community Engagement Manager of your region to work on a plan in that regard, we'd be very happy to help.
