Dear Maimouna, George and Ted,

on behalf of ISOC UK England, I would like to congratulate you on your win and look forward to working with you in forthcoming years. The Internet Society is faced with many challenges, both internal and structural, but also external and global, and I hope that you will, as Board members, seek more engagement with the communities that have been coming together to place you in the position of responsibility that you are now taking.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the other candidates, Satish Babu, Luis Miguel Martinez, Glenn McKnight, Amir Qayyum and Roberto Zambrana for the Chapters Election and Olivier Alais and Heather West for the Organisation Members Election. A vibrant community comes with vibrant elections and a full slate of contenders in the election, thus providing a wide choice of candidates. The responses that you provided in the Candidate Forum were all very wise indeed and I hope that the candidates that were selected will read back these fora as a starting point to utilize the wisdom that was shared there, and take the opportunity to work with you and all of us for the benefit of the Internet Society and the Internet as a whole.
Kindest regards,

Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond

Dear Chapter Leaders,

On behalf of the ISOC Elections Committee, I wish to extend our appreciation and thanks to all of the nominees and final candidates for the Board of Trustees election. We are honored that such well-qualified individuals offered to serve on the Board.

The election results were certified today, in accordance with the elections timetable.

CHAPTERS
In the Chapters election there were seven (7) candidates for two (2) Trustee seats. Ndeye Maimouna Diop and George Sadowsky received the most votes.

ORGANIZATION MEMBERS
In the Organization Members election there were three (3) candidates for one (1) Trustee seat. Ted Hardie received the largest weighted vote count.

It may be of further interest that in the 2020 elections, 88 of the 122 eligible Chapters voted, or 72.13%, and 57 out of 102 eligible Organization Members voted, or 55.88%.

Please join me in congratulating the successful candidates and thanking all who ran. I also wish to thank all voters, members of the Elections Committee and ISOC's supporting staff.

Challenges may be lodged between now and 15:00 UTC on Wednesday, 15 April by email to the President of the Internet Society, Andrew Sullivan (Sullivan at isoc.org<mailto:Sullivan at isoc.org>).
