Dear Alexander,
I hope ISOC-NL don’t cancel the support to the ISOC Spain-Canary Islands
chapter (providing to us the web hosting for free) after my comments
below...
FYI: this is my opinion; I haven’t discussed this issue with the people
in our chapter -yet.
I don’t see feasible to support your request.
As previously another representatives have comment, on May 27, 2019,
ISOC grant to Spain-Canary Islands chapter “a non-exclusive charter to
be a chapter of the Internet Society in Canary Islands, Spain, on the
following terms.
1. Purpose of Chapter.
The purpose of the Chapter shall be to support the Internet Society’s
vision, mission, and operating principles in the Territory.”
More, all the chapter representatives should have participated in the
board of trustees’ elections, and because the election, they are our
ears and eyes in the board.
And suddenly, we don’t trust them anymore... Well, this is not my case.
In the next few days I will to set up an informative meeting with our
chapter. Until then, I do not support your proposal, for the reasons above.
Thank you so much. Best regards,
--
