Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the nominations for the 2019 Jonathan B. Postel Service Award are now open. Please share this with your members!
Each year, the Internet Society presents this prestigious award to an individual or organization that, like Jon Postel, have made outstanding contributions in service to the data communications community. The award recognizes and commemorates the extraordinary stewardship exercised by Jon over the course of a 30-year career in networking.
We encourage nominations from across the global data communications community, individuals or organizations that have demonstrated a long history of contribution to data communications and the Internet. The committee places particular emphasis on candidates who have supported and enabled others in addition to their own contributions.
The chosen candidate will be presented with a 20,000 USD honorarium and the signature crystal engraved globe at the 105th Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in Montreal, Canada on 20-26 July 2019.
Nominations may be submitted by self-nomination or by a third party. The deadline for nominations is 15 May 2019.
