The Africa Youth Internet Governance Forum Committee cordially invites you to register to attend the 2019 Africa Youth Internet Governance Forum on the theme Shaping the Next Generation of Internet Users.

The event will come off during the Africa Internet Governance from the 10th to 12 of September. Find below other information about the 2019 Youth IGF:

Date: 10th September  2019

Venue: Radisson Blu Hotel, N'Djamena, Republic of Chad

Time: 8 am

The event has the support and the sponsorship of the African Union and Internet Society.

Objectives  of AYIGF 2019:

1.    To raise awareness among young people and new entrants about Internet Governance issues and to promote their participation in the discussion with a focus on Africa working with information gathered from the IGFs in the sub-regions.

2.    To groom the next generation of Internet governance experts for Africa

3.    To bring together people from government, civil society, business and other stakeholder groups to interact and explore common ground around a public interest-oriented approach to Internet Governance.

4.    Building a new cadre of Internet leaders who are motivated to learn, engage and act within the African region and beyond.

5.    To encourage the active participation of African youths in ICT development and policy beyond Internet Governance specific topics.

6.    Partnering with more organizations to improve the participation of youths in Internet Governance discussions.
