Dear Sagarika,
We in the accessibility sig are shocked by what has happened in Sri Lanka. We Completely agree with you that at this crucial time, internet should not be shut down or slowed. Just as Amrita says the Internet is a powerful medium that can be used to share the correct information and countering misinformation. It can allow others to connect and let people know they are safe.
