Just a quick note for folks to know that there is/was a Community Network workshop/panel with some of the great partners we work with.  We met up in advance with A4AI, APC, Tunapanda (CN in Kenya/BNET grantee working with Kenyan Chapter), Zenzeleni (CN in SA/BNET grantee and working with Guateng Chapter), and Nic Bidwell (with the chapter in Namibia) to plan.  Agustina is our able colleague on the ground representing the team!

Just started, this is kind of historic, in that is the first time we've ever simulcast in two languages! As well as the livestream channels both webcasts can be seen on ISOC Africa Facebook, and the ISOC Live Twitter 

 

 From Tuesday through Thursday October 9-11 2018the 2nd Africa Summit on Women and Girls in Technology is happening in Accra, Ghana. The Summit — which comes at a crucial point in time when the world is set to reach 50% connectivity — aims to design solutions that will enable millions of African women and girls to benefit from access to technology and use their skills to build a better Africa for all. The Summit will explore a range of relevant topic areas, with a focus on developing policy to advance:
● Access to affordable broadband
● Women’s rights online
● Digital education and skills
● Digital entrepreneurship
English and French Livestreams will be available via the Internet Society Livestream Channel.WHAT: 2nd Africa Summit on Women and Girls in Technology
