On behalf of the ISOC Elections Committee, I wish to extend our appreciation and thanks to all of the nominees and final candidates for the Board of Trustees. We are honored that such well-qualified individuals offered to serve on the Board. The election results were certified today, according to the elections timetable.
CHAPTERS
In the Chapters election we had 4 candidates for one Trustee seat.
Walid Al-Saqaf received the greatest number of votes.
ORGANIZATIONS
In the Organization Members election there were 3 candidates for one
Trustee seat.
Robert Pepper received the largest weighted vote count.
Please join me in congratulating the successful candidates and thanking all who ran.
It may be of further interest that in the 2018 Elections, 91 of the 122 eligible Chapters voted, or 74.59% and 68 out of 122 eligible Organization Members voted, or 55.74%.
Challenges may be lodged between now and 15:00 UTC on Wednesday,
18 April by email to the President of the Internet Society,
Kathy Brown (brown at isoc.org<mailto:brown at i soc.org>).
Any such challenges must be addressed to the President of the Internet Society with a recital of the reasons for the challenge. The President, after consultation with the chairs of the Nominations and Elections Committees and the members of the Board of Trustees, shall advise the challenge author of the Board's decision by Wednesday, 25 April.
