- I am not aware of the ISOC-DC chapter ever publicly positioning itself 
as the de-facto national chapter. As John More notes, by nature of its 
location, it attracts a very different audience/membership to the one we 
here at the San Francisco-Bay Area Chapter attracts but I really don't 
see that as a problem.
