[Chapter-delegates] Closing of internet connections in schools in Catalunya?

Dear all,

I've heard reports of some schools in Catalunya being forcefully shut
off from internet, at least for some period, during the last couple of
days.

Is there anyone that can confirm this has been, or perhaps still is the
case? I don't want to believe just any report, although my source is
normally very credible. I'd be relieved if this turned out to be
untrue - which is exactly why I'm asking.

Surely school children (and educators) in a western democracy should not
become the victim of any governmental action that deprives them of a
vital educational resource such as the internet - whatever the political
stakes. In case this has indeed happened, should we as European chapters
make a statement about this to prevent future incidents like it?

Best,
Michiel Leenaars
