[Chapter-delegates] Reminder: 25 under 25: Be part of the selection Committee

Dear Chapter Leaders,

As you likely know, and as part of the Internet Society’s 25th anniversary, we launched a new initiative called 25 under 25 to recognize individuals ages 13-25 who are using the Internet to make a difference in their communities.

We received more than 320 inspiring nominations, and now begin the selection process.

We hope you can help us!

We are seeking up to three (3) Chapter Members to serve on the Selection Committee. Other Committee members will represent Internet Hall of Famers, our NextGen leaders, the Youth SIG, and organizational members and partners. The Selection Committee is tasked with identifying 25 qualified candidates and some alternates for the 25 Under 25 program.

The 25 awardees will be honored at a special ceremony in September in Los Angeles before participating in three days of networking and leadership development. This event will provide a fantastic opportunity to connect with other young innovators from around the world.  In addition, they will attend the Internet Hall of Fame ceremony and meet many of the pioneers who made the Internet what it is today.

Chapter Members with a passion for how the Internet can be used to transform lives and to fostering the next generation of influencers and innovators are strongly encouraged to volunteer by submitting a letter of interest to 25Under25 at isoc.org<mailto:25Under25 at isoc.org>.

The deadline for expressions of interest is Wednesday, June 14th at 23:00 UTC and selected chapter leaders will be notified by June 16th along with guidance on the process.

The time commitment will be roughly 8-10 hours between June 19-29, with 1-2 calls as needed.

Please note that nominators and applicants for the award are not eligible to serve on the Selection Committee.
