Folks

It's always painful to disagree with Vint, who has earned respect from all
of us.  Criticizing ISOC, even when you're correct, risks claims of
disloyalty, which is not a problem to me.
Vint and all. Where I have errors, please point them out so I can correct
them.
Where my comments about ISOC are accurate and important, please fix the
problems instead of shooting the messenger.  There are at least half a
dozen I'm pretty sure you'd agree with if you read it again when your anger
has passed.

Vint's comment was odd.

Funny, I signed the piece and the about page says the site is mine. I think
no one would be surprised to see some analysis or opinions.
Actually, most of what I wrote has a factual basis, most easily verified.
I made a list of 40+ facts I included to justify my analysis. (I also found
two small errors, corrected.) To put this to rest, I'm sending that list to
Vint to check and will send a copy to anyone who asks.

Meanwhile, let's look at the real issues in ISOC and try to fix them.

Which I won't repeat now.

I separately am working on an emails about non-controversial problems I
think we should fix (listing our donors, welcoming members who aren't
"like-minded", making sure our policy recommendations are evidence-based,
correcting errors when we find them, allowing comments on our blogs, ...)
