[Chapter-delegates] Passing of David Vyorst

I was saddened to hear about David’s passing this morning. He was a great champion of ISOC’s values and was always willing to help anyone in the community. His passing is a great loss to our community in North America. 

 

More importantly, he was a friend. I’ll miss his insights, his sense of humour and his kindness. I appreciate the time I was able to spend with him.

David might have been an ISOC-DC leader, but he was a born-and-bred New Yorker.

 

We shall especially miss him here at ISOC-NY.

A couple of years back, I was in need of assistance on a visa-related matter, and Glenn had introduced me to David. 

 

Although he had never met me, David very promptly helped me with the matter, which was successfully resolved. It was gratifying to note that David knew me only as a Fellow ISOC member and office bearer of a faraway ISOC chapter in India, but the ISOC bond was strong enough for him to help me out.

He will be missed.
