Dear Members,

I’d like to bring to your attention a new Internet Society information paper, Overview of the Digital Object Architecture, in response to questions received from members and partners. While not a new technology, the DOA has recently been garnering some attention in certain circles. With this paper (which is based on publicly available information), we intend to shed some light on the Digital Object Architecture (DOA) – what it is, who runs it, and identify some of the relevant policy and technological considerations.

You can access the paper here: http://www.internetsociety.org/doc/overview-digital-object-architecture-doa

I hope you find it useful, and we welcome any questions, suggestions or other feedback.

Thanks,

Mark Buell
