Dear Chapter Leaders,
I have exciting news to share with you. We have reached a key moment in our journey to strengthen the Internet Society's identity and build greater visibility and recognition for our work - the launch of our new Internet Society online Identity Centre, http://www.internetsociety.org/identity/.
Our identity work is the result of a highly collaborative process started in early 2015 when we announced plans to improve our communication, raise our profile and bolster the Internet Society's identity around the world.
You have been instrumental in helping us along this path. Thanks to the invaluable feedback from our Chapters and global community, as well as insights and support from our Board and participation from staff, we have arrived at this significant milestone.
The online Identity Centre provides a collection of tools, including our new logo, colours, font, graphics, photography, templates to download and tips for how we speak. You will also find a link to the new Chapter logos that you can begin to use immediately. These resources reflect a refreshed Internet Society look and feel that builds on our core visual identity and values in a stronger, more contemporary way.
It's now time to begin this transition, which will continue to evolve over the next several months. And the timing couldn't be better.
As we discussed at InterCommunity several weeks ago, our 25th anniversary in 2017 will bring exciting opportunities to celebrate our work, our achievements and our community. Our new identity will serve as a firm foundation to extend the Internet Society's visibility and sphere of influence around the world, and help us to speak with a stronger voice on the issues that matter.
If you have any questions about our new identity or the Identity Centre, please send an email to identity at isoc.org. Welcome to this new resource.
Best Regards,
James
