[Chapter-delegates] AFRALO NGO Engagement Session at ICANN 55

Greetings

I am at the  ICANN 55 in Marrakesh and today was the first of the five
morning sessions on engagement with the NGO's in Africa.  The  session
started off  with the  comments  that  very few  applications  for  the new
 gTLD program  from Africa.    A lawyer  representing  NGo's in African
 mentioned  that only 17 applications from Africa.
It will be interesting to see more details on ICANN's  strategy for  Africa
since it's been a year they announced a  special  AFRICA strategy
