[Chapter-delegates] Nepal Chapter elects new leadership for next tenure

Dear Colleagues

After an active eight years in shaping the Internet Society Nepal
Chapter(As Founder General Secretary and 2 Tenure as President), I'm proud
to retire from the active leadership  as one of my founding team member of
ISOC Nepal Chapter and Vice President in my Committee, *Mr. Bikram Shrestha*
has been unanimously elected as the President of the Internet Society Nepal
Chapter by 6th Annual General Meeting of the Internet Society Nepal Chapter
held on 9th July 2016 for next 2 years.

The meeting also elected Mr. Santosh Sigdel as Senior Vice President and
Romkant Pandey as General Secretary of the Society. Mr. Amar Rajbhandari,
Tanka Raj Aryal and Suraj Adhikari are elected as Vice President, Secretary
and Treasurer respectively. Similarly, Dipa Adhikari, Dipak Koirala, Krishna
Pokharel, Ramesh Pudasaini, Ramkrishna Pariyar, Roshan Pokharel and Subhash
Pandey are elected as member. Newly elected President Mr. Shrestha
nominated Mr. Nabinda Aryal as committee member exercising the power
of President, under Article ... of the Bylaws of the Society, to nominate
two members at the committee. One more women women member will be nominated
by the President soon.

Earlier, the AGM passed an amendment in the bylaws that makes the executive
committee more inclusive. It makes a mandatory provision of electing at
least an women as executive member and nominating at lest an executive
member in the Committee. Similarly, a position of Senior Vice President
also created for a collective leadership of the Society.

Considering the transparency of the fund, the signature of the treasurer
has been made mandatory for the operation of Bank Account. The passed
amendment also makes certain amendments on the fee structure of the
membership with the intention of managing membership affairs. According to
the new provision membership fee for a general member is 1000 NPR
(Approximately 10 $) for the entry and 500 NPR (Approximately 5 $) as
renewal fee. Similarly, life membership fee is increased to 10,000.00
NPR (Approximately 100 $) (One time) and Corporate Membership Fee is
25,000.00 NPR (Approximately 250 $) (One time).

I would like to thank all the ISOC Chapters, Chapter Leaders, ISOC, BoT and
the entire ISOC Staffs. I specially thank, Chapter Support Team, ISOC APAC
Bureau team for all the support, encouragement and trust for me and my
entire team through out my tenure. I'm also very obliged to all the team
members at my Executive Committee, Founder of ISOC Nepal Chapter and all
the Members. Further, I also thank all the stakeholders, vendors, sponsors
and well wishers who helped me and my team for the successful tenure.

I congratulate all the elected leadership of Nepal Chapter with the belief
that the support and trust of all of you will continue.
