We have a broad problem that a newish kind of spamware is harvesting
address books or maybe mailing lists and sending spam to lists with
forged From: lines of actual subscribers.

Most mailing lists do little spam filtering beyond checking that the
address on the From: is a suvscriber.  We need some stronger filtering
but it's hard to figure out what to do that would not have a lot of
false positives.

If you want to discuss this further, please do it in a place where people
argue about mail software, not here.
