Hi Imran,

This is Roger, currently working at the guifi.net Foundation, so yes,
I guess I can be considered as a "site's principals" ;-)

I agree with you, we must improve on UX. We are working on it and you
are welcome to join because essentially the site is as it is due to
the lack of man power, so any further contribution (working code) is
more than welcome.

If you want to contribute, take into account that the website is just
the front-end of a full set of tools aimed at enabling users to plan,
maintain and operate networks by themselves. It includes, among many
others, links planning, IP addresses management, DNS registry, fully
automated routing and devices configuration, costs declaration,
resources usage monitoring, legal contracts management, etc.

Since the current state of the production code clearly fits into the
category of "spaghetti code" we have taken the opportunity of the
emergence of the optical fibre (OF) to start from scratch, so the OF
module (still in alpha state) is in an independent framework.

But, giving the existing amount of production code, we do not have a
clear yet about the next steps: shall we start rewriting the existing
tools in the new framework? Or on the contrary, we must rework the
existing code? (the dependency on Drupal, given Drupal's evolution, is
also another thing to consider).

So, if you want to participate do not hesitate to contact me straight.

Kind regards.
