Thanks for the  Guifi.net <http://guifi.net/> link Vint, but Carlos, these guys could use some lessons in basic web site design and usability. And I am not even talking rocket science but basic ability for users to register. 

Even picking English as the language from pop-up choices leads to Registration forms in some other language. Manually guessing and inserting an /en part into the URL leads to a supposedly English language form... with field names in that other language. 

After guessing what goes where, I ran into the WORST user-irritating frustrating imagery for CAPTCHA I have EVER seen. 

It took me 15 attempts before I got one correct!

I do not know if the site's principals are in this email thread but wanted to share this user experience.

Otherwise all the best laid plans of computer mice and net men/women often go CAPTCHAwry. ;-)
