[Chapter-delegates] Suggestion for ISOC Chapters with Wordpress templates

Hi All

I recently had lots of problems with our  ISOC Canada  website which is a
 CMS.  Wordpress and CiviCRM site  a couple of weeks before our AGM and
busy time sending out  notices for  updating annual membership payments

It was seriously attacked with a  Brute Attack causing the  site to be
off-line or extremely slow.

I increase the RAM and Storage on the VPS server and it still crawled at
100% CPU useage.   The  attack was deep and very annoying

Solution
1. Restored to a month ago
2. Increased  RAM and Storage
3. Install Plugins  Disable-XMP-RPC
https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-xml-rpc/
4. Install Plugin  Limit Attempt Booster
5  Installed Captaca on the  JOIN US page

Its now very fast and running at 12% CPU capacity

If anyone is running Wordpress on your  site, I suggest these plugins and
do a backup.
