Dear Joyce,
Dear colleagues,

As you may have seen in the press Belgium had again troubles with air traffic, reason why I had to cancel my participation in the meeting in Madrid, which I really regret. Yesterday and today we had heavy debates in parliament as was now discovered the issues with security at the Brussels airport was known for at least one year. Even the EU commission made report to the Belgian government. And as I discovered during the past 2-3 weeks many issues and breaches of cybersecurity took place, I’ve requested a meeting with some people of the parliament in order to highlight and request urgency in proceeding to a hearing on the reasons why our CERT fails in performing as is required.

Thus, this demonstrates the way ISOC Belgium is following from nearby the issues related to security of our internet users. I will report back as soon as possible.

Again regretful being absent in Madrid.
