It is good to give the AC a chance, IMHO.

They will either succeed (which will be good for the chapters), or not 
(which will in some ways also be good, as the chapters would have 
explored all options). I am not sure if the AC will be the voice of ALL 
chapters, or some chapters will still be more vocal than others? After 
all, if ALL chapters were interested equally, then ALL chapters would 
have been at least voting for the BoT, but I don't think we have ever 
had that 100 % participation.
