Dear Alejandro, dear colleagues, (questions and answers also posted in
Connect)

your first question is very good as it relates directly with the role that
a Board of Trustee member elected by chapters should have, which is in my
opinion a frequent and relevant communication with all chapters and members.

In my case, haven being elected by the chapters as member of the Chapter
Adivsor Committee, has given me a broad perspective of the challenges that
all chapters are facing and gave me the opportunity to find new ways of
dialogue and involvement that may lead to concrete solutions to these
challenges.

As ISOC Argentina president and board member of our chapter, I am in
permanent contact with our almost 900 members and I am also in frequent
contact with colleagues from other chapters in the region and the world,
mainly due to my academic activities.

As an example, last week in the South School on Internet Governance in
Washington DC, where I have the role of academic director, the following
chapter´s representatives were specially invited to this activity:
Washington DC, North Carolina, Canada, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Barbados,
Trinidad and Tobago, República Dominicana, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay,
Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Haiti, El Salvador,
Peru, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Venezuela, New York.

I will continue with these activities and I plan to:

- keep on with my relation with chapters and enhance it with a wide global
perspective

- organize monthly regional calls to recieve concerns from chapters and to
give feedback about BoT activities

- use an open online platform that should be available for all members, in
order to recieve comments and questions and where I can also give my
feedback

The second one about commitment and limitations is another relevant
question.

If I am elected as Board of Trustee member by chapters, my commitment will
be with the chapters and my decisions will be guided by the interests and
needs that chapters will express in the fluent dialogue that I plan to have
with all of them.

None of my activities will reduce or limit in any way my independence and
capacity to "hear the chapter´s voices".

Best regards

Olga
