Dear David,

Thank you for letting us know about your decision.

I want to take this opportunity to recognise and thank you for everything you have done for the Internet Society and the New York Chapter over all those years in your capacity of President of the Chapter. In my experience with Chapter volunteers, 11 years is quite the commitment.
That commitment has made it possible for the Chapter to be where it is today.

However much I am sad to see you go, I also understand you have other commitments to tend to. I do hope however that the fact that you resigned as President does not mean you will disappear from the Internet Society and the New York Chapter.

I hope you will stay in touch and continue to share your experience with the next president and the Board and as Satish mentioned hopefully also share some advice with starting Chapters.

Thanks a lot again for everything and talk to you real soon!
