Dear Chapter Leaders, Colleagues and Friends,

It has been a true privilege and honor to serve as the Internet Society's North American Regional Bureau Director since March 2012! Even though I will not be an employee of ISOC going forward, I will continue to work with you as a Co-Convener of the ISOC-DC Chapter. This transition is very exciting because the DC Chapter is extremely active and doing great work for ISOC in the Washington, DC area. Most of you are already aware of the role ISOC-DC plays in organizing the IGF-USA. The chapter will soon launch a new website and kick-off a variety of other activities. And, of course, I will continue to livestream all of the events so you can be remotely engaged and informed. Look for updates on that front very soon!

Aside from serving at the chapter level, it is my sincere hope to serve ISOC in another capacity as well. A number of people have nominated me to serve as a member of ISOC's Board of Trustees (to be elected by Chapters). If the nominating committee permits me to stand for the election and if I am elected, I will work very hard to help ISOC promote chapters and to scale the organization's activities through chapter and member engagement. I very much appreciate all of the nominations and the strong showing of support. I am sure ISOC will share more details about the election soon, so stay tuned.

My personal email address is paul at paulbrigner.com<mailto:paul at paulbrigner.com>. Please stay In touch. I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming IGF and, if not there, then on the Internet!

Best regards,

Paul Brigner

Regional Bureau Director, North America
