[Chapter-delegates] WEBCAST SAT/SUN – HACKCON II in Brooklyn

ISOC-NY has been involved in the student hackathon movement from the get go
as a sponsor of hackNY <http://hackny.org/> which pioneered the form in
2010 and continues as one of the mist high profile examples. One thing that
emerged from those early hackNY events was the League of Hackers,
eventually morphing into Major League Hacking, a central organizing
resource. This is their 2nd annual conference for organizers. Growth has
been phenomenal. As MLH founder Swift points out in his opening keynote
(00:55 on the live timeline) there are more organizers at HACKCON II than
were hackers at that first hackNY in 2010, and there were 84 MLH sanctioned
student hackathons in 2014. He hinted at plans for a major global event
this June.  This entire webcast will be archived by Livestream and will
