[Chapter-delegates] Involving the local community

Dear members,
This is just to give you two updates from ISOC Cameroon Chapter,
1- The Cameroon Chapter will open on wednesday 11 february a Remote
Hub for the ICANN52 meeting in Singapore.
On 11 february, the local community of Internet has been invited to be
part of the discussions that happen in Singapore.
2- On 12 february, Cameroon Chapter organize  a conference on Internet
Governance topics: this conference will offer a platform to share
experiences  and discuss topics relevant to the local Internet
community, such as:
-Who's involved of the Internet Governance
-The IANA transition: development and prospects
-Internet Exchange Point: best practices 2014 in Africa
-The abandonment of the Network Address Translation for a secure
Internet connection with IPv6
-State of affairs of the Internet infrastructure in Cameroon:
                 a.Infrastructure at the sub-regional level
                 b.Infrastructure at the national level
                 c.Infrastructure for Mobile and Broadband
It is expected that at the end of this local event, the local
community will be better equipped with relevant information on the
local, regional and international development of the Internet.
Furthermore, such practice will enable the community of Cameroon to
participate and actively engage in regional and international
discussion forums  (ICANN, IGF, AFRINIC, etc.) taking place in 2015.
Last but not least, the Internet Society Cameroon Chapter believes
that the conference will change the attitude of ISPs by encouraging
the deployment of IPv6.
