Hello,

I know several of the members on this application and can vouch for their
abilities and passion.

For those who may not be aware, Barbados is a Small Island Developing State
(SIDS) in the Caribbean just 34 km (21 mi) in length by 23 km (14 mi) in
width, covering an area of 432 square km (167 sq mi). It is ranked 200th in
the world in terms of land area and 181st in the world in terms of
population size.

The Internet Community in Barbados, however, punches above its weight and,
fuelled by the work and drive of several of the very same founding members
listed on the application can boast of a WEF GITR Networked Readiness
ranking of 39 (#1 in the English-speaking Caribbean).

Some may also recognize the some of the listed founding members as
organizers of the Barbados Remote Hub (@bbremotehub) - the Hub being one of
the first to remotely contribute to ICANN's IANA Stewardship Community
Consultations last year in London. Several of the listed founding members
were key participants and collaborator in the recent inaugural Caribbean
Peering and Interconnection Forum (carpif.net) event held in Barbados from
May 27-28, 2015.

I 100% support the formation of another English-speaking Caribbean ISOC
Chapter and welcome Barbados' application to ISOC's growing family.

Best wishes,

Tracy Hackshaw
Internet Society Trinidad and Tobago Chapter
