Dear All,

Thank you so much for all the warm welcome messages! I'm overwhelmed.

I'm excited to join the ISOC staff which, in my experience, is a 
collection of top-notch professionals who are deeply committed to the 
work. And I'm especially excited to start working with you chapter 
leaders, who I know to be a dedicated and multi-talented group.

While I may know a thing or two about running a chapter in Finland, I 
won't pretend to know how it is done in other countries. You are the 
experts on that and I'll do my best to support you in what needs to be 
done to achieve the goals of your chapter and the ISOC community at large.

Starting next week I can be reached at karttaavi at isoc.org. I hope to 
hear from you soon.
