My recollection is that the exclusion of wireless from much of the FCC's
original Open Internet Order resulted from a sitdown with Google & Verizon.
Eventually, as we know, Verizon put a (at least temporary) kibosh on the
whole thing in court. As the FCC contemplates new rules, today's panel is a
valuable re-examination of the issue.

regulatory touch to wireless broadband than to traditional fixed-line
technologies. Virginia Tech Engineering Professor *Jeffrey Reed*, Berkeley
Business Professor *Michael Katz*, and Boston College Law Professor *Daniel
Lyons* will discuss whether wireless technologies should be treated
differently. CTIA-Wireless Association President *Meredith Atwell Baker*
will provide introductory remarks. Moderator is Professor *Christopher Yoo*
