[Chapter-delegates] TONIGHT: Internet Society meeting at ICANN 51 – remote participation details

Apologies! But I blame Paul Brigner, as it was he who told me there would
be no webex! Glad that it allowed Alejandro to ask at least one question.
Thanks to Dan York's active remote moderation, Livestream chat worked well
as a feedback vector. But there was frustration that it does not allow
links to be posted.

I was a little late joining (as I was shooting a Computer Science teachers
meetup in NYC) but on reviewing the early part of the livestream I notice
that there was CART aka Communication Access Real-Time Translation

projected
on the screen, Now, if I had known in advance and had a url  I could have
notified the deaf and hard of hearing members of our chapter - who I can
tell you are frustrated by the lack of same on many of our webcasts. We pay
lip service to accessibility, we should follow up where possible!

When the transcript becomes available it will be easy enough for Paul or I
to port the video to YouTube and add the transcript as closed captioning.
