In the last couple of weeks the (essentially right wing) anti-Net
Neutrality folks have been galvanized by Obama's Net Neutrality dictum.
Activities take the form of "debates" where some brave NN advocate is cast
into the pit to be savaged. Last week we saw MIchael Weinberg of Public
Knowledge at the ITIF <http://isoc-ny.org/p2/7201>, and again this week at the
Free State Foundation <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Q2pB6ldfvY>, who
were bolstered by a couple of FCC Commissioners
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbjgA_drCmQ> . Today's event is a little
more evenly matched as Jonathan Baker of American U. and of Marvin Ammori
of the New America Foundation step up to the plate.

the FCC Ban Paid Prioritization?

A panel will tackle questions: Should the FCC ban paid prioritization, or
merely police it? What authority, if any, should the FCC use? Should the
FCC “reclassify” broadband as a Title II common carrier service, regulate
broadband under Title I using the powers it has claimed under Section 706,
or await further Congressional instructions? Speakers: *Marvin Ammori*,
Fellow, New America Foundation (@ammori); *Jonathan Baker*, Professor of
Law, American University (@jbbecon); *Hal Singer*, Progressive Policy
Institute (@HalSinger); and *Berin Szoka*, TechFreedom (@BerinSzoka).
Moderator: *Amy Schatz* (Re/code). The event will be webcast live via
TechFreedom.
