[Chapter-delegates] ICANN49 Rough Guide

Dear all,

ICANN 49 is upon us and as various stakeholders from the Internet community are preparing for the long journey to Singapore, we would like to share with you a rough guide to ICANN49 and some of its activities. 

This rough guide is not meant to be exhaustive; it is meant to highlight some of the sessions organised by ICANN that we feel are important for the broader Internet community. This is not to say that the sessions not listed in this guide are less important or less interesting. To this end, we would like to encourage you to also take a look at the official ICANN schedule which can be accessed through the following link: http://singapore49.icann.org/en/schedule-full

As you can see, this ICANN meeting will touch on a variety of issues ranging from the globalisation of the IANA functions, to Internet governance, to directory services and issues of security. At the same time, discussions on new gTLDs will of course continue. The usual meetings of the GNSO, the GAC (although not posted in the ICANN schedule yet) and the ccNSO will be part of this meeting as well.

Please note that this rough guide might be subject to further changes depending on the changes inserted in the ICANN schedule. We hope that you find this rough guide helpful.
