I think its a simple matter of using Connect as a platform to do some human introductions.

My name is George Fong. I represent The Australian Chapter, and I am VP of the Internet Society of Australia.

I haven't said a lot but I am firing up on Connect after an inspirational meeting of the Asia Pacific Chapters in KL. Ruud Jansson has put up a lot of material about the meeting.

How are you? :-)

I have suggested that we post up case studies of our work in the chapters on Connect.  Will post up one from us in Aus to get the ball rolling. I think Connect has a lot of potential to provide exchanges between Chapters at a level we have not done so before on a day to day basis. Will do my best to contribute to this.

I agree with Klaus and Christian that some reconfiguration of Connect would be welcome.
I find it rather difficult to understand how 'Connect' is designed to work.

At present, my mail box makes it appear that ALL these communications are addressed to myself, personally.
And the assumption is that's what they look like to ALL other recipients. (Although one may interpolate from this discussion that may not be the case. Correct?)

Normally I post to these lists as little as possible and reserve the option to reply to the sender on a personal basis.
However, I have already encountered that <reply-to-sender> has somehow been blocked.

Isn't it rather odd that Connect makes us feel so wonky that we have to discuss it on the Chapters' List.

PS:     Although I have a rough idea of who is on the Chapters' Delegates List, I really have no idea who is on the Connect List.
        Actually I am sufficiently old fashioned to feel a strong preference to knowing who I am talking to …
