[Chapter-delegates] Update on Meeting of ISOC Internet Society Board of Trustees

Dear AC Members/Chapter Delegates

We wanted to give you an update on major actions taken by the Internet Society Board of Trustees during its meeting over the past two days in Buenos Aires.

One key action, the details of which will be contained in a public announcement that will be issued over the next several days, was taken as a next step in the Internet Society's continued strong support for the Internet Governance Forum.  

The Board also took the important step of approving and adopting the 2014 Business Plan, which was guided by the priorities established by the Board and integral to our ongoing longer-term strategy as well as by our continuing commitment to fiscal responsibility. This plan will create a stronger, regionally-focused engagement model for our Chapters and Members, and provides in the context of the changing Internet governance landscape a solid foundation for advancing the Internet Society's mission and priorities, including policy, technology and development programmes and positions.

We look forward to continuing to advance our mission with you in the coming year.
