[Chapter-delegates] Global Panel to Address Future of Internet Governance

Dear Lynn,

I join colleagues in congratulating you for spearheading this effort. I
would also like point out that the real challenge is addressing governance
issues at the local (country level) where users are involved. It is also
important to note that the role of governments in the Internet Governance
eco-system had been diminishing significantly despite the critical role
that governments play in the Internet Governance arena, this is an that
needs to be addressed urgently, whereas the highlevel meetings are
significant getting governments on board and ensuring that they are in sync
with the rest of the community is the critical cog in the internet
governance wheel. Indeed as Chapters we may need to consider devising
better ways of engaging governments since we are the people on the ground.
