Hi,

here I'm forwarding to the Chapter Delegates a very important announcement made by ISOC staff earlier today. It is a call for candidates from the Internet technical community to the Internet Governance Forum's Multistakeholder Advisory Group for 2014, which will have to be formed in a very short timeframe and start work almost immediately.

I believe that the Chapters community of ISOC is one of the prime sources of smart, experienced, knowledgeable, principled, qualified, committed people for this critical task. I hope the call attracts many of us - not only the Chapter Delegates but also members of the Chapters on which we delegates call.

Constance Bommelaer is managing this process, under the stewardship of Markus Kummer to the best of my understanding.

Dear all,

Under-Secretary-General Wu Hongbo of UNDESA has issued a statement on the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) renewal process for 2014: http://www.intgovforum.org/cms/component/content/article/125-preparatory-process/1459-mag-renewal-2014

The aim is to rotate one third of MAG members.

The Internet Society (ISOC) is coordinating a process leading to recommendations of representatives of the Internet technical community for the renewal of the MAG. This process will be completed by 1 December 2013.
