[Chapter-delegates] 2013 ISOC Board of Trustees Election Results

Dear Chapter-Delegates,

On behalf of the Internet Society’s Election Committee, I wish to extend our appreciation and thanks to all of the nominees and final candidates for the Board of Trustees. We are quite honoured to have such well-qualified people so interested in serving the Internet Society! The election results were certified on 31 May 2013.

CHAPTERS

In the chapters election we had four candidates. Narelle Clark received the highest number of the votes and has been elected for a three-year term.

ORGANISATIONS

In the Organisation membership election, we had six candidates. Jason Livingood and Désirée Miloshevic, receiving the largest weighted vote counts, have been elected for three-year terms.

INTERNET ENGINEERING TASK FORCE (IETF)/Using the process documented in RFC 3677, the IAB has re-appointed Bob Hinden as the IETF appointee to the ISOC Board.

We now move into the challenge period which lasts till 7 June 2013. Challenges can be lodged between now and 5pm US EDT 7th June 2013 by email to the President of the Internet Society, Lynn St.Amour at: <st.amour at isoc.org>.

Any challenge must be addressed to the President of the Society with a recital of the reasons for the challenge, and must be received no later than 7 days following the end of the election. The President, after consultation with the Chairs of the Nominations and Elections Committees and the members of the Board of Trustees, shall advise the author of the challenge of the Board's decision, which shall be final, with 7 days following the end of the challenge period.

The Challenge Response Period ends on 14 June 2013, date on which the results will officially be announced.
